Decades after his death, a rare British pressing of Darrell Banks' biggest hit became one of the most expensive singles in the history of record collecting.

The Flirtations were a female trio from South Carolina who made their best recordings in England and have been longtime favorites of that country's Northern Soul scene.

In 1964, Brenda Holloway became the first non-Detoiter to record a hit single for Motown.

Despite their “one-hit wonder” status, the Tams became huge favorites on the Beach Music scene in the Carolinas and the Northern Soul scene in the UK. They even had a #1 smash in England with a seven-year-old recording!

The Velvelettes were one of a surprising number of Motown groups who undeservedly fell through the cracks.

Al Wilson is best remembered for the 1968 Northern Soul anthem, "The Snake," and for his 1974 Number One hit, "Show and Tell."
